A Wolf and Indiana Jones

The Boy Who Cried Wolf
by John Henry

Once there was a rich boy who was a shepherd and sometimes acted foolishly. The boy lived on a hillside near a village. One day the boy was watching his sheep and got tired and bored because he had no company. His father warned him that there was a wolf in the woods.

One day he got so tired and bored he screamed wolf. The villagers rushed up and saw no wolf. When they found out that he had fooled them they said, "Don't do that." One day he got so overwhelmed with boredom that he cried wolf which made the villagers rush up. The villagers were furious because he had tricked them again they madly exclaimed, "Don't ever do that again!"

Several months later, he saw a real wolf with sharp teeth and gleaming eyes, and because he was terrified he cried wolf. They finally came up and found the boy who was in a huge tree.

Moral: If you lie too many times people won't believe you.

Once there was a lady who was with Indiana Jones who sometimes  acted foolishly. They were camping in a huge forest with Indians. The lady was bored because she had no company. Indiana Jones told her to shout Indians if she spotted any Indians.

She was so lonely she yelled, "Help" and Indiana Jones came running because she cried help. When he found out  that she lied he yodeled, "Don't do that." One dark night she was overwhelmed with boredom so she cried, "Indians". Indiana Jones who had come before came and saw no Indians and snapped, "Don't ever do that again.

The next night she noticed real Indians and screamed, "Indians" as loud as she could. Indiana Jones just ignored her. She kept screaming, "Indians" because they were almost to her. Since he never came, she ran quickly to his tent and woke him up. So Indiana Jones, who was tired, scared them off.

MORAL: If you lie too much, no one will believe you.
