SATURDAY: Luke did good skiing a little bit. I think when he stayed upright it was on accident, but he did great for his first time on skis. I think the man of the day was JH. I taught him to snowboard. I couldn't believe how fast he took to it. He was incredible. He went down 2 times by the small rope tow, then went up the lift with me. He fell a few times, but I think mostly on purpose. He would go a little too fast and sit down to stop. He went on the lift a second time with Scott and came back telling me he didn't fall the entire way down. Snowboarding is harder to learn than skiing and I've never seen anybody who didn't struggle a lot in the beginnig. Not JH. I was proud of him.
Everybody else had fun. Elizabeth and Christian and John Henry got some good tubing time in also. Luke rode the little tubes that go around in a circle. :-)
SUNDAY: We had a long weekend. Today we went to the Evergreen Aviation Museum and saw the Spruce Goose that Howard Hugh built. I'm sure Scott will tell you interesting facts about it. It was HUGE! Christian's cub scout group was on an outing there so a couple boys from his group and their families joined us.
MONDAY: Tomorrow Scott is off work for the holiday. He may smoke some meat. We'll probably relax around the house.
